My Night-Out Girlfriends

Sofie, Me, Lei

I've been away from the night-life scene for a long time now. Before, almost every weekend, I can be seen at bars in Timog and Makati here in the Philippines. But since I needed real work, I had to stop going to "gimiks" because my work is during the night and when I don't have work, I'd rather just be at home and rest. But today, my night-out girlfriends made me smile because I was able to talk to them thru chat after how many months! It seems like we haven't seen each other for years! I really missed them. But I don't think I'll be going back to my night life before since I have more responsibilities and obligations now. But my girlfriends sure made me smile today!

Mommy Moments - Doctor, Doctor Am I Sick?

mommy moments

I'm soooooooooo sorry fellow mommies! I know it's really late. We went out of town that's why I wasn't able to post my Mommy Moments theme yesterday, but, better late than never! =)

The picture above isn't really Lance's pic when he was sick. It just so happened that when he's sick, I don't really take photos of him. I just don't have the heart. And normally, people who are sick are always on the bed in their pajamas. But I want to share something with you fellow mommies, the first time that he was confined at the hospital. He was, if I'm not mistaken, around 4 or 5 years old. He got an on/off fever for about 3-4 days and his cough wasn't going away. So when we had him take tests, he was diagnosed to have Primary Complex which is very common to kids nowadays. However, he needed to be confined. It was his first time to have the freakin' needle pierce him. He was calling out "Mommy! Lola!" because I know that he was in pain when the doctor was putting in the dextrose. Both me and my mom were crying and both of us weren't looking. It was such a painful moment. It's true pala, that when your kid is sick and you see him suffering, you'd rather be sick than your kid. That's why as much as possible, we take EXTRA EXTRA care of him because we don't want him to experience that again. But, thank God, after that, up until now, he wasn't taken back to the hospital for another confinement. =)

Golden Phone In Churches

I just received an email from an old friend of mine and it really fascinated me. I just want to share it with you guys. And yes, the title is "Golden Phone In Churches".

A man in Topeka, Kansas decided to write a book about churches around the world. He started by flying to San Francisco and started working east from there. Going to a very large church, he began taking photographs and making notes.

He spotted a golden telephone on the vestibule wall and was intrigued with a sign, which read 'Calls: $10,000 a minute' Seeking out the pastor he asked about the phone and the sign. The pastor answered that this golden phone is, in fact, a direct line to heaven and if he pays the price he can talk directly to GOD.

The man thanked the pastor and continued on his way. As he continued to visit churches in Paris, France; Cairo, Egypt; Hong Kong in China, and around the World, he found more phones, with the same sign, and the same answer from each pastor.

Finally, he arrived in Philippines, upon entering a church ln Manila, Philippines, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, behold - he saw the usual golden telephone. But THIS time, the sign read 'Calls: 35 cents.'

Fascinated, he asked to talk to the Priest, 'Father Ricardo Baumberger, I have been in cities all across the world and in each church I have found this golden telephone and have been told it is a direct line to Heaven and that I could talk to GOD, but in the other churches the cost was $10,000 a minute. Your sign reads only 35 cents a call. Why?'

I love this part.....

The priest, smiling benignly, replied, 'Son, you're in the Philippines now ....... You're in God's Country, It's a local call.'

Wehehe...So what do you think?

Missing Him...=(

I'm just thinking, this is part of my pregnancy. You know the "KSP" stage when you're pregnant? Or maybe I'm just new to this marriage world and I'm just at home that's why sometimes I feel left out. Before, my hubby and I ALWAYS go to work together...we go home together...basically we do everything together. But because of the recent turn of events which are: (1) I got out of the hospital days before our wedding because I had premature contractions, (2) I needed to file a Leave-Of-Absence from work since I needed complete bed rest to avoid further spotting, and (3) my hubby got promoted and is SOOOOOOOOOOO busy after that...so after all these, I'm always left at home. I really miss him. And I know sometimes he visits my blog when he has the time when he's at the office (sana!).

Beh...If you're reading this, I want you to know that I'm missing you every single minute that I'm not with you and I hope that in everything you do, I'm always on your mind. I know this is tough for us since you have to work alone for now and the times we spend together is really minimal compared before, but I know that we'll get through this. Just don't forget that I love you so much and I'm so excited for us since I'll be giving birth to your son anytime soon! I really miss you so much that's why when we're together, I cherish every moment that I'm with you. =)

Share ko lang...hahaha! =)
